Bangladesh is one of the most populous country in the world. Along with other disabilities, a large number of children / individuals in this country suffer from autism and neuro developmental problems. These people are not able to properly participate in social interaction, movement, communication and daily functioning, in the limited constraints of neurological development. As a result, life-long care is needed. A person with a disability has the right to live and live with dignity. To this end, the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD) was announced on December 2006, the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh signed and ratified the UN Declaration of Rights of Persons with Disabilities. In light of that, the present government has taken effective steps to provide services to the type and extent of disability through various activities. In view of this, the Government of Bangladesh constituted a Board called the Neuro-Developmental Disability Protection Trustee Board in 2014 after establishing the Trust through the implementation of the 'Neuro-Developmental Disability Protection Trust Act, 2013' to improve the overall quality of life of people with neuro developmental disorders. The Trust is taking various initiatives to improve the living standards of childrens and persons with neuro-developmental disabilities.
The objective and purpose of the Trust shall be to facilitate dignified living as a part of society, with the aim of empowering neuro-developmentally challenged individuals by: (a) Providing assistance as much as possible in physical, mental, and economic aspects; (b) Ensuring appropriate education and vocational training; and (c) Promoting social integration.

The center aims to create a nurturing and inclusive environment that promotes the overall well-being and development of individuals with autism. Their strategy includes early intervention programs, specialized therapies, educational resources, and community outreach initiatives. By emphasizing individualized care, promoting social inclusion, and fostering independence, the Autism Center strives to enhance the quality of life for individuals with autism and their families.
